Robert Smith

Rob is a three year coach at Red Storm who was born and raised in Baton Rouge Louisiana.
Rob graduated from Southeastern University with a bachelors in History. He is the athletic director and head volleyball coach at St. Michael's High School. Rob played volleyball in high school at Woodlawn High School and has a lot of experience when it comes to coaching. He coached at St. Thomas Aquinas for one year, St. Michaels for 20 years, Volleyball Baton Rouge for 20 years, and Louisiana Volleyball for 2 years.
As a coach he has been able to experience; two state runner-ups, 15 district titles, and 13 district coach of the year award.
When asked what he loves about coaching Rob responded, “Watching the kids develop their skills and passion for the game.”
When Rob is not coaching he enjoys; spending time with his wife and kids, reading, and fishing.
