Matt Anastasio

Matthew is an outstanding coach who has been with Red Storm Volleyball for 11 years. He is originally from Bayou Goula, LA and has lived in Brusly for 13 years now. He currently is an 8th grade history teacher at Brusly Middle School but previously worked at University Lab, St. John, Fleur de Lis Volleyball and Brusly High School. Matt began coaching in 2009 as the Head Coach for Fleur de Lis and then he became the assistant coach for University Lab school from 2012-2016 & 2018-2019. In 2018 Coach Matt was a part of the University Lab School team to be the runner up for the LHSAA State Championship Division IV. In 2017 he was the head coach for St. John, then later became the assistant coach for Brusly High School from 2019-2020. Coach Matt is proudly the Head Coach and Program director for Brusly Middle school.

Coach Matt is a fun spirited, loving, and hard working coach. He enjoys his full time job as a teacher but really loves spending time with his two dogs, cooking, and going to the beach!! Red Storm is thankful to have Coach Matt as a part of our coaching staff.
