Lauren Hickman

Lauren is a four year coach at Red Storm. She is originally from Cottam, Ontario but has resided in Baton Rouge for ten years.
Lauren is a part time stay at home mom as well as a coach. She also referee’s school and club ball games/tournaments. She played high school and club ball for several teams in Ontario, Canada where she wawa captain for all teams, all province team multiple times, and has two provincial championships. Besides Red Storm, she has mainly coached in her hometown.
When asked what she loves about coaching Lauren responded, “I love watching players succeed on and off the court over many years. Seeing how impactful you are to the players but also how much they impact you as a coach/parent/friend etc.is also exciting. But most importantly, the life lessons learned throughout each season that I get to take with me.”
When Lauren is not coaching she enjoys; playing beach volleyball, crocheting, spending time with her nine year old, reading, and chasing her dogs.
