Amari Bellard

Amari is originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to Baton Rouge 7 years ago. Amari moved to Baton Rouge in High School then decided to pursue her education at LSU. She graduated with a bachelors in psychology and her masters of Education in Special Education. She is currently employed at Woodlawn Elementary as well as she is the assistant for St. Michael's High School Volleyball team. Amari has had a successful volleyball career, she played in High School at St. Micheals as well as Red Storm. She continued her career by playing in college at Nicholls State and Alcorn State. She was defensive MVP, All District, All Metro, and All State in Highschool! Amari has been coaching high school for 5 years and this will be her 3rd year here at Red Storm. Coach Amari says that her favorite part about coaching is establishing relationships with each of her players. Outside of volleyball Amari loves to shop and travel! We are excited to have Amari as a part of our coaching staff!
